My devices is displaying:
When providing a sample:
“Blow harder” – your breath sample did not last long enough for your test to register.
“Hum stronger” – you began humming either too late or too soon. It might also mean that your hum was not strong enough to register.
“Blow softer” – your breath sample was too strong.
“Don’t inhale” – you might have inhaled while your lips were still around the mouthpiece, therefore sucking air into the unit.
“Abort tamper” – you covered the vent on the back of your IID while blowing. Your mouth piece may also be inserted incorrectly.
To complete your sample successfully, you will need to blow steadily for the full time of your test.
Keep both your breath volume and your hum even during testing.
While driving:
“SVC Lock (x)HRs” – you are in service grace period countdown and you have (x) days remaining before you lock out. You must take your vehicle to the nearest Service Center to have it calibrated before the countdown ends.
“VIO Lock (x)HRs” – you are in your violation grace period countdown and you have (x) days remaining before you lock out. You must take your vehicle to the nearest service center to have it calibrated before the countdown ends.
“RECALL 3” – typically means there is a connection issue. Get to your destination. Turn the vehicle off and disconnect the handset for 10 seconds. Reconnect the handset. Contact us directly and set an appointment for a repair.
Keypad Functions:
Press sequentially,
not simultaneously
- #, then 1 – displays your next calibration appointment
- #, then 2 – displays your battery’s voltage
- #, then 3 – displays remaining violations
My device is acting funny:
